Happy Anniversary To My Parents(Gift Card Holder)

Today is my parents 29th Wedding Anniversary!! I made them this Gift Card holder using my gypsy!!

Ok so this is pretty complicated to explain how I created it, if anyone wants the file and knows how I can get the file to you then please email me and let me know. I did used Emma's stamps over My Creative Time: Inspiring Words and Inspiring Words (Accents). Emma makes amazing stamps and just came out with4 new sets you can buy them on her blog just follow the link above and then click on the little shopping card on the right hand side of her blog (second icon down) I also used Cloud 9 Designs clear stamps:Simple Thoughts-Baby for the hearts and stamped them three times

This was my second attempt at making this, the first one was to small to fit the gift card. Please let me know if you would like the file and how I can down load it to make it available?? Or if I can't do that email me and I will email you pictures from my gypsy and what carts I used!!

My 5th and final "New" Project

Goodmorning!! So today is my last day of "New" cards but like I said yesterday today's post is not a card but a project!! I love frogs so when I saw this paper piecing I knew I had to get it and try it out. I have never done paper piecing before and I don't have a program so I printed the pieces out on my computer and cut them out by hand and glued them together!!

What I used:
Wall Hanging Canvas
Ranger Acrylic Paint Dabber:Sunshine Yellow
Wiltons baker Twine:Yellow and White
Kadoodle Bug Designs:Frog
Cricut American Alphabet(preloaded on the E2):"K"
Buttons
Black Ink
Googly Eyes
Red Ink (Cheeks)
Black Gel Pen (Mouth)

I had laid the frog out before gluing it together and decided that it needed to be inked because it looked really flat to me and I wanted to add dimension. This will hang in my craft room. Hope you enjoyed my projects this week. It was a real challenge to come up with "New" things for me to post about as well as posting everyday. I probably will be taking a break this weekend from posting but will be working on some projects that need to get done.

Have  A Great Day/ Weekend

"New" Card #4

Goodmorning!! This is my fourth "New" card for the week. All week I have made cards using new cartridges, new techniques, things that I have never done before. This card is very different for me. I saw on YouTube someone (Sry can't remember who) use distress ink to water paint. Here is the card:

What I Used:
Stamp is from Stampede: Big Beary (Very old stamp it is my mom's from years ago)
Tim Holtz Distress ink: Frayed Burlap,Milled Lavender, Faded Jeans (I took a paint brush and wet the tip and just dapped it onto the ink pad. For the edge of the card I used the Frayed Burlap using the distressed ink tool.
My Pink Stamper:Punny-lious (Friends Furever)
1" circle punch (Fiskars) I attached three of them and then stamped the sentiment on them.
Fiskars corner punch (three in one): Flowers
Crochet Floss: from Michaels (not sure of the name as I threw out the wrapper)

I have never coloured in a stamp let alone painted a stamp so this was very interesting but I saw it and wanted to try it and the bear stamp was fairly easy to colour in. For tomorrow's "New" card it isn't a card but it is something that I have never done before.

A "New" card #3

Goodmorning!! So today is day 3 of my" new" cards. This one is completely new to me. I used Just A Note Cartridge for the whole thing

Front Of Card

Middle Of Card

Inside Of Card
What I Used:

Just A Note Cartridge (Preloaded onto the E2 )
Everything cut at 5.5"

Ok there is a story behind this card. I was really excited about doing a Tri-Fold Card , so I set everything up on the E2 had 5 pages with my different cuts on them (very cool feature of the E2) and cut everything out to realize that the squirrel was way to big for the card. What I didn't realize is that there is actually a "Card layer" feature for the cartridge and I had cut out the squirrel and all the layers using the normal feature thinking it would fit. Needless to say I had to cut out the layers all over again this time using the "card layer". you live and you learn, trial and error. I will be using the bigger squirrel cut in another project, probably a layout. These cards are so fun and there are so many of them to choose from on this cartridge. Now that I know how to make them properly (LOL) I will be making more in the near future!!

Have A Great Day

Another "NEW" Card

Goodmorning!! So this week I have decided to show you cards that I have made using new products, meaning things that I have never used before. This card I created using Create A Critter which I have used before but the cut I have never done and the sentiment I have never used as I just received the stamps set. Also this is the first time that I am writing (typing) a post and instead of automatically posting it I have scheduled it for this morning. We will see how this works!!

What I Used:

Create A Critter Cartridge:
Card base cut at 4" (two volcano's welded together)
Dinosaur cut at 2.5"

American Alphabet Cartridge (first time using it):
oval for the sentiment cut at 2"

My Pink Stamper Stamps: Punny-licious:
Dino-mite!

I inked the edges of the card with Distressed ink: Frayed Burlap, and inked the dinosaur in purple ink from the dollar store. The dinosaurs eye has a purple gem on it as well. I am really into inking the edges of my cards and projects I think it adds more depth to the projects. Hope you like my card and I will have another "new" project tomorrow!!

Simply Sunday "Treats" Challenge

Goodmorning!! The last couple of weeks I have neglected to do any of Kristal's challenges over at Getting Cricky with KAndrews. I am now back in the swing of things and have made a project of her Simply Sunday challenge this week, which is:
Make any party or favor type project by Saturday August 27'th and post it on Kristal's blog (follow the link above). I don't really make bags or boxes so this was different for me. I have always loved the cake boxes so I pulled out my Tags, Bags Boxes and More cartridge for this challange.

What I Used:
TBBM Cartridge:
Box fit to page using my E2
Cricut Essentials (preloaded to E2)
Flowers cut at, 2",1.75",1.",1.25" and 1"
Leaves cut at 2"
I scored all the petals of of flowers annd then inked the edges with distress ink (Milled Lavender)
I added a gem in the middle
White ribbon in the holes of the box(really not sure why there are holes)

Inspired Stamps:
1" Circle Sentiments
This was really different for me as i have never made this box or the flowers before, but like I said in my previous post I like trying new things, all my post for this week will be projects that I have never made before.
Have a Great Day

My Pink Stamper Challenge "My Style"

Ok so I said it would be tomorrow that I would get to play with my E2 but I got so excited again about it after my last post that I decided to sadly put my original Expression away and put my E2 in it's spot. When I put away the "Original" I decided to clean my craft room before putting the E2 out. I organized all my paper and my stamps, it only took me 1 1/2 hours ( my daughter had fallen asleep so I had time). After dinner I decided to play around with the E2!!! I really love the Cricut Decals Cartridge that comes preloaded on it so I decided to use that cut to make my card for the My Pink Stamper challenge that she has going on right know. The challenge is: Show YOUR style making your favorite thing!  This could be your favorite color combo, your favorite Cricut cartridge, your favorite technique, etc.

For me anything I make is "My Style" but my favourite colour is green and I am pretty sure that the Cricut Decals  Cartridge is going to be my new favourite cartridge sorry Create a Critter!! I also like trying new things when it comes to crafting so for this card I did/used 5 new things

1. I used my E2 for the first time
2. I used Cricut Decal Cartridge for the first time
3. I didn't use my Gypsy (it's been over a year since I have made a cut without it)
4. I used PKS Just baby Faces Assortment Package for the first time
5. I embossed 3 separate pieces of paper with the same folder and then glued them onto one paper to blend together ( you'll see what I mean when you see the card)

so are you ready to see the card??

Here it is:

What I used:

Cricut Decals Cartridge:
Girl on duck cut at 2.5"

Cuttlebug Embossing Folder:
Seeing Spots

Peachy Keen Stamps:
Pk-650 Just baby Faces Assortment Package

KAndrews Stamps:
Splash-tastic Summer

 Floss

Black ink and gem from Dollarstore

White Gel Pen:
Stitching and eyes

All paper is just scraps I had left over

I am really happy with how this card turned out, I can't believe how well the E2 cut the thin lines of the girl with the duck. The only problem I am having is hooking my gypsy up to the machine, I want to weld things together to cut and make shaped cards, I will try and find videos but if anyone can help I would really appreciate it!!

You have until Monday Night to enter in the challenge over at My Pink Stamper.

Have A Great Night
God Bless

IT"S HERE!!!!!!

Ok so all week I was super excited about my E2 arriving but when it finally did (Thursday), all I did was take it out of the box and look at the handbooks for the cartridges and put it all back in the box:( it came just as the kids were getting up from their nap and then when they left I had to take my daughter out and then Friday I was busy making things for my friends baby. Hopefully know that I have time I will actually get a chance to play with it!! First I have to look up some videos on how to use it!!

I do have a couple projects that I made using the Original Expression to post. These sadly will be the last things I make with my Expression for awhile. I will take it out now and again just so it doesn't collect dust!!

Here are the last projects:

Here is what I used:

Diaper shirt: Plantin Schoolbook Cartridge: letters cut at .8"
                                                                  100% cotton material
                                                                  Fusible Web

I followed the instructions on the fusible web and then for the cricut I cut at minimum speed and maximum pressure and blade depth at 6 and multi cut at 2. I also used a new mat and new blade.  I really found that this was a pain, it didn't work the greatest for me I had to hand cut some of the letters out as they only half cut and I just had a rough time. I wanted to make more then one shirt but got so frustrated with the one.

For the Wall Art I used Zooballoo Cartridge and everything was cut at 1.7", I used Tacky Glue Aleene's Clear Gel and a cue tip to spread it on the pieces. Frame from the dollar store!!

These projects were given to my friend who had her baby 3 weeks ago, I just got to go meet him for the first time today!! My daughter was loving the baby, but when I got in the car I was glad that I could just visit and then leave. I'm not ready for another baby full time!! One 3 year old is enough for me at the moment.

Hope you enjoyed,  I will be posting a new project using my E2 tomorrow I am planning on doing a project for Robyn's challenge over at My Pink Stamper, that is if I can figure out how to use it!!

Have A Great Day
God Bless

branch with leaves cut at 1.3"
frame cut at 3.1" used to layer

Pop Up A Tent Card for Crafty Sprouts Challenge

Goodmorning everyone!! My holidays are over and it's back to work for me:( I know my daughter is happy though because it means she will have playmates again!! Anyways Erika over at Crafty Sprouts has another challenge going on this week. I really enjoyed the challenge before so I decided to enter this weeks challenge as well "Pop Up A Tent". This was alittle bit harder for me, it took me a bit to get a design. yesterday the weather here was really gloomy and it rained pretty much all day. My card is a reflection of that:

Here is what I used:
Wildcard Cartridge: base 4.5" with a 2.5" square in the middle (used my gypsy)
3.5" square with a 2.5" square in the centre and then the cloud in the centre and      welded together.
Indie Art Cartridge: cloud 2.5"
                               rain drops .5"
My Pink Stamper: Sweetest Cupcakes set for the sentiment "It's Raining Sprinkles"
Cuttlebug on the cloud
It's hard to tell from the picture but I used beads on the back part of the card to look like sprinkles. The picture isn't the greatest cuz of how dark it was outside yesterday. If you are interested in making a tent card and entering Erika's challenge head over to the link above to watch the video on how to make a tent card. If you do make one please let me know so that I can pop over to your blog so I can see what you came up with.

Thanks and Have A Great Day

SO EXCITED!!!!!

Goodmorning everyone!!! I had a great time away this past week and it was much needed after my grandmother passing away the week before. I was really bummed out about having to come back home to reality until this morning when I got the best email ever!! I had entered a contest about a month ago and the winner was announced on the 3rd of this Month. I had forgot to check and I got the email this morning saying that I had won. I had to go to the website to make sure this wasn't a bogus email  and sure enough out of 922 comments there was my name as the winner. Here is what I won

Please someone pinch me I still can't believe it and I won't until it is at my door step!! It's the Cricut Expression 2 Anniversary Edition. I won it from http://craftgossip.com/. They are always having contests and can be found on facebook as well!! You never know you could be there next winner!! Anyways I will be posting projects probably later on in the week as I haven't had time to do any scrapping since I got home Friday night. I will try and get pictures up of my trip later on today!!

Have Great Day
