Card For Emily

Good morning!! I am so thankful that there is one more day left in this month, I am just cutting it close with getting this card posted!! Michelle from Scrappin' For Kenzie had a blog hop and asked people to make a card for her niece Emily who has Leukemia and link it up to her blog. You can read Emily's story if you click on the link above. I read her post to find out what Emily likes to incorporate it onto the card. I still have to write in the card and type up the poem for it and then it will be sent in the mail.

What I Used:
K Andrew Design Art Stamps : Amazing You
Create A Critter: Horse 2.5
Once Upon A Princess: Background for Emily's name 1.2"
Cupcake: Emily's name 1"
Memento ink: Sweet Plum
3 Girl JAM: Witch's Brew Crinkle Ribbon
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder: Kitchen Diamond
Ek Success Corner Rounder
Purple Gems
Iron on beads from Fabric Land

Amazing You Buy HERE

Ok so for this card I made a tri fold card and put Emily's name on the outside as well as the ribbon, when you open that flap you will see the horse and the sentiment and when you open that flap (sry no picture) you will see the Foot Prints In The Sand Poem  that I have yet to print out and put inside.

Although today is the last day to link a card to Michelle's blog you can still make a card for Emily and mail it to her. I am sure that her and her parents would appreciate all the love and support!! You can click HERE to find the mailing address.

Have A Great Day!!

God Bless

Today the Design Team is bringing you some very special projects created for our wonderful and amazing leader Kristal! Our term is almost over and we wanted to show her just how much we appreciate ALL that she has done for us this term. The projects that we will be sharing with you will also be sent to Kristal. We encourage ALL of her fans to join in on the fun as well! Be sure to add your card/project to the link below and then be sure to mail it off to her!

If you've hopped along from Jennie then you are in the right place!! If you are just joining me from your dashboard, or reading this via email, please be sure to CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Kristal's blog (you'll want to catch up on all the FUN!!)...

Each of Kristal's stamp sets benefit charity. At least $1 per stamp set goes to benefit the charity noted on the stamp set package. This was my second time making a criss cross card (the first one I never posted, it was just a sample to see how to make it) I found a video on YouTube on how to make them. Because it was so long ago I don't have the link for it but if you search criss cross cards you should find some. For the flower I came across it on The Paper Variety, mine is alittle different as I used more circles and I put mine on the nestability, if you click on the link you will see how to make it.

I would like to take this time to thank everyone on the Design team for such a great term, you are all so talented and really amazing women. Kristal thank you for putting together such a great team of ladies and for your amazing stamps. I have been blessed to be able to work with everyone. So Thank You!!

I cut out the nestability at the largest size and added it to my 4x8 folder card as a flap. I then took by 4x4 dark orange card stock and placed on the inside of the card to cover up the other half of the nestability. This was a really easy and fun card to make. i love the little peak a boo sentiment under the flap.

Please stop by Amy's blog and check out the challenge (my other super talented Design Team sister Lisa: A Mermaids Crafts was the guest designer for this challenge)

Kristal's stamp sets are perfect for cards, layouts, and so much more...

For my project, I'm featuring the Amazing You Stamp Set. For more details or to make this set YOURS, please click on the preview:

K Andrew Designs
What I Used:
K Andrew Design Art Stamps : Amazing You
Give A Hoot Cartridge: Bees cut at 2.5"
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black
Stickles: Crystal
Black and Yellow Paint
8 Popsicle Sticks
Hot Glue Gun

When I was trying to come up with a project to match this theme I had a hard time at first. It's kind of weird seeing how I run a home daycare and have done summer programs for kids and taught sunday school, but I drew a blank!! Finally having seen this cute bee cut I knew I wanted to do a picture frame for my daughter's Halloween picture. I thought it would be cute to use popsicle sticks and easy for the kids to paint themselves and then with an adults help hot glue them together. You can paint the sticks any colour to match the picture or the cut. I may put a magnet on the back or put some ribbon on it to hang it.

Love: Coffee Style

Good evening!! I haven't posted in a few days because I have been going through some health stuff and have been going through tests. I have been having constant chest pains and ended up passing out. I went to the hospital and they referred me to a cardiologist. All the tests have come back fine so I am now wearing a heart monitor for the next two days. I have more blood work to get next week and then go from there. They don't think anything is wrong because of how young I am but they want to be on the save side. It has really opened my eyes to how I eat and my lack of exercise. I am going out to get good running shoes and I will be trying to walk everyday especially in the spring and summer. I am definitely going to be changing my eating happens, meaning I am going to eat more then I have been. No more skipping breakfast for me!! Anyways I just thought I would let you know what has been up. Now for my card, I have a few more of these to post that I made before all these health scares.

What I used:
K Andrew Design Art Stamps : Coffee & Tea Time (mug)
                                                   Food For Thought (Love)
Spellbinders Nestabilities: Big scalloped Circles Large
Spellbinders Nestabilities: Labels Eight
Color Box Fluid Chalk Ink: Rhubarb Stalk and Rich Cocoa
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black

This card was made for my stalk pile for a man's card. I layered a bunch of the spellbinder dies solid cuts and the negatives. Stay tuned for the next Simply Sunday this Sunday February the 12th. You still have until Saturday to enter the past Simply Sunday Challenge: Fantasy Land HERE. We as a Design Team are also having a Pre-Hop week again (Sunday Feb.12th-Thursday Feb.16th), this time we are using one cartridge each all week. Then on Friday Feb.17th there will be a Hop. You will have to come back on Sunday to see which cartridge I chose to work with all week!!
