Cardz Tv Challenge "Say I Do"

Good Evening!! I wasn't sure if I was going to get this done as I have been battling a sinus cold (I get them atleast 3 times a year) but I pushed through so that I could get a couple more cards done for the mission trip fundraiser. When I saw the challenge over at Cardz TV "Say I Do" I was a little on the fence, I don't normal do wedding cards but I knew it would be good for the sale. I will hopefully get another one done tomorrow this time using my cricut. For this one I used my cuttlebug!!

What I Used:
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder: Perfectly Paisley
Cuttlebug Die: Baby (won it from Amy: Scrap This, Save That )"Hearts"
My Creative Time : Inspiring Words & Inspiring Words Accents
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black
Ribbon

I got this idea for the card from Valscraftroom blog. I found it on pinterest and thought that it was so pretty. You only have until Midnight EST on Sunday night to post a card, favour or craft project for an engagement, wedding shower or wedding over at Cardz TV.

Have A Good Night!!

All Things Are Possible

Good Morning! I have another project to enter into the Getting Cricky with K Andrew Simply Sunday Challenge "All About Disney". Before this challenge I was never really into Disney stuff.  However it has helped me get some kid freindly cards done as well as my project for today. When I first started out crafting I was a scrapbooker, then I found a love for stamps so I started making cards and kind of left scrapbooking behind:( This challenge gave me the opportunity to get a page done for my daughter's scrapbook!!

What I Used:
K Andrew Design Art Stamps : Winged Things "Brave, Faith, Imagination"
Stamp from Michaels $1.50 bin "All Things Are Possible"
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black
Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils
Stickles: Star Dust

I got the image off the web, it was a colouring page that I cropped and printed out and then coloured. I wasn't sure at first what I was going to do with the image. at first I though card but I knew it would just be sitting around for a year since my daughter's birthday just passed. So a layout it was!! I am not sure what pictures of my daughter to put on it yet, but I am sure I will figure it out.

This may be my last entery into the challenge but I am not sure yet!!

Have A Great Weekend!!

God Bless!

Good Morning!! It's a long weekend for me, as here in Canada it is Victoria Day!! Yeah an extra day off, boo it is way too hot here!! I believe we are headed to the zoo this morning before it gets too hot. When Beckie emailed me with the challenge details I was alittle stumped. "3 brads" I don't normally use brads on my cards or projects so I had to go through an see what I had. Fantabulous Cricut Recycled project

Good Morning!! As you are reading this I am at my daughters second gymnastics lesson with her and she is having a great time! We are headed to the local zoo after that so I will be back later to check on the blog. Fantabulous Cricut had a "Save The Earth Cricut Crawl" this past week (a hop and a challenge) I knew I wanted to make something for it but wasn't sure what. I started making flowers out of newspaper but they didn't tun out. It wasn't until I opened a book set that I bought for my daughter that I found what I was going to make.

This is the insert that came in the box with her books. This is what I turned it into:

What I used:
Stretch Your Imagination: Frames cut at 2"
George & basic Shapes: Hearts, 1 1/2" & 1"
My Creative Time : Anyday Bingo & Crossword
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black
Stickles: Diamand
Hot Glue Gun

This was alot easier then I thought it would be. I measured the cardboard and then cut out a piece of cardstock the correct size. Glued that to the cardboard. I cut the pictures to fit as well. Added them to the frame and then placed the plastic over top.  I cut out the frames and glued them onto a light coloured cardstock and cut them out, then stamped the letters on them. Hot glued them on the plastic. The letters are my daughters initials: Sierra Brie-Ann Lynn (no last name). I love how it turned out and just goes to show that you can reuse anything!!

I am entering this into the Fantabulous Cricut : Challenge "Use A Recycled item"

Have Great Day!!

God Bless!

Easel Card for Paper Playtime Challenge

Good Morning!! It's here finally the weekend! It's going to be a busy one. I have a couple projects to make as well as a birthday card, birthday cake, and wrapping presents. I also have to finish up my mother's day present/card. The card I am showing today is my very first sympathy card. it will go into my stash and I hope that it stays there!!

What I Used:
JustWordz Stamps : Everyday Sentiments
Memento ink: Tuxedo Black
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps : Your Friendship (flower)
Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils
Rosettes, 1 1/2" x 11" and the other is 1"x11" both scored at 1/4" marks
Hot Glue Gun
Marvy Uchida Quick Borders: Heart Scallops

This is the second technique for the flowers from Sweet 'n Sassy. I colored in the one and stamped the other on solid cardstock and layered them after I cut them out. For the heart punch, I puched them out on a strip of cardstock and then cut them into two sections and placed them under the rosettes, I used the little hearts on the bottom strip that holds the easel card up.

I am entering this into the Paper PlayTime : Challenge 73 "Anything Goes"

Have A Great Weekend!!

Cheer Up Friend!

Good Morning!! This week is almost over thank goodness!! I can't believe that 6 more days and my baby will be 4, where did the time go!?!? For my card today I had a little helper! My parents went out so I decided to have my daughter come into the craft store with me (if you read a previous post of mine you would understand me calling it a craft store). I glanced down at a craft book that was on the floor and on the front cover I found my inspiration for this card. My daughter did the base of the card (Minus the gluing) and I did the rest.

What I Used:
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps : Circus Fun
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black
Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils
1" Circle Punch
Bakers Twine
Ribbon

My daughter loves using this circle punch. It is so easy for her as it is a squeeze punch. I just handed her the colors and she went punch crazy, so much so that we had alot of circles left over. As I was gluing the circles down she was folding the left over ones in half, which gave me the idea for the balloons. The clown stamp actually had balloons attached but I cut those ones off to add my 3D ones. I glued 4 of the half circles together to create them. Thanks Sierra!!!

I am entering this into Little Scrap Pieces: Use A Bow Challenge

as well as Sentimental Sundays : Challenge 100 "Cards For Kids"

and Craft Your Passion : Challenge 108 "Lots Of Texture"

Have A Great Day!!

God Bless!
