Sassy Studio Designs Relay Final Day

Good Evening!! I spent the day out of town shopping with my family all the while with the Sassy Studio Designs Relay challenge in the back of my mind. I printed out the digi this morning and had the card half done I just needed to finish it up about 20 minutes ago!! The challenge theme this time was "New Yor or Paris". A couple of weeks ago I bought a bag full of scrapbooking stickers from a yard sale and there was a sheet of "Paris" stickers. I knew they would be perfect on my card. The only cartridge that I have with the Eiffel Tower is the Wall Decor and More. While I was looking throught the BOOKLET I saw the sample card and decided to give it a try. I made it but it would not stand up so after putting it all together I decided to add a twist.

I glued the sides to make a pocket so I could add a tag inside!!

What I Used:
Sassy Studio Designs : Image (Carrie)
Prismacolor Water Color Pencil
Prismacolor Colorless Blender
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black
Paris Stickers
Wall Decor and More Cricut Cartridge: Eiffel Tower 5"
K Andrew Designs Art Stamps : I Heart You! "je t'aime"
Spellbinders Nestabilities: Bloom Four (Purse)
Stickles: Diamond
White Twine (used black marker to make it black)
Gems
Whole Punch
Ribbon

This is my favourite of the 4 cards that I made for this challenge. I think this style of card would be great to put actual tickets to Paris in (a girl can dream, can't she?) Well I guess that is it for the relay I am sad it is over, I had a blast making all these cards. I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. For my fellow Canadians Happy Canada Day (also my brother's birthday tomorrow)!

Have A Great Night!!

God Bless!

Sassy Studio Designs Relay Day 3

Good Afternoon!! It is a hot one out there, spent all morning at the park. Last night I received the third image from Sassy Studio Designs and got to work right away. I finished it this morning. The theme this time was CAS (which I am glad they said what that meant because I had no idea!!) for those of you like me it means "clean and simple". So here is what I created:

What I Used:
Sassy Studio Designs : Digi
K Andrew Designs Art Stamps: Positive Thoughts (sentiment)
My Creative Time : Teeny Tag Greetings (die)
Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils
Prismacolor Colorless Blender
Spellbinders Nestabilities: Big Scalloped Oval SM
We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper: Photo
Sizzix Embossing Folder: Flower Fine
Ribbon
Black Fine Tip Marker

I really liked this image and had fun with it. I am a clean and simple kind of girl all though I am trying to get more into patterners. One more challenge left and then I think I am going to take a break from crafting for a few days.

Have A Great Day!!

God Bless!

Clearly iStamp Color Challenge

Good Afternoon. About two months ago I came a cross a stamp company that has great prices. It is called Clear Dollar Stamps, I decided to place an order and received it with in 10 days (which is super fast for products coming from the States to Canada). They have a sale going on right now until the 30th of June. You can click HERE to fine out more details (it says the sale ended on the 18th but they extended it). The stamps sets that I got where all in the clearance bin and ranged from as little as .45-5.85, amazing prices. They also have digis which I just bought. My card today is the first one I have made with one of there stamp sets for their challenge. They have a blog called Clearly iStamp and the challenge was a color challenge.

Here is what I made:

What I used:
Clear Dollar Stamps: Roses To Die For
Memento Ink: Rhubarb Stalk/Cottage Ivy
We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper-Angle
Self Adhesive Pearls
3 Girl JAM: Crinkle Ribbon Holly Berry

I wanted to make it simple and clean. I am looking forward to making more cards using these stamps and I plan on getting the digis printed really soon.

Have A Great Day!!

Sassy Studio Designs Relay Day 2

Good Afternoon!! Today I have the second card for the Sassy Studio Designs relay challenge. They sent out the emails last night with the new image and I opened it up this morning. I was alittle taken back by it because it is out of my comfort zone. I had decided when the challenges started that I was going to do all 4 of them so I printed out the image this morning and made the card. The challenge requirement was to use the image as well as BLING.

What I Used:
Sassy Studio Designs : Image
My Pink Stamper : Punny-Licious
Memento Ink; Tuxedo Black
Spellbinders Nestabilities: Bloom Four
Stickles: True Blue
Gems
Prismacolor Water Color Pencils
Prismacolor Colorless Blender
We R Memory Keepers Sweetheart Inker: Navy
Crop A Dile Corner Chomper: Photo

This was so not a kind of image I would normally use as I am a very modest dresser but I had a little fun with it. I won't be giving this card to anyone, I may look for some blue feathers or boa to put around the neck to cover up the cleavage so that I can give it to someone. I am looking forward to getting the next image to work with on Thursday Morning!!

Have A Great Day!!

Sassy Studio Designs Relay Challenge

Good Afternoon!! This morning before church I was checking the blogs I follow and came across the Sassy Studio Designs Blog. I usually get their Friday Freebies but this post was for a relay challenge. you can click on the link above to find out the full details. I haven't created anything with their digis before (frankly coloring in skin tones and hair scares me). But I thought why not give this challenge a try. We got a free image and had to use it on our card with the theme "Friendship". the image is on their blog and you have 2 days to use it and then you are emailed another image to use and have to another two days to use that and so forth(there are 4 challenges in total meaning 4 free images). I got to work on my card before church and just finished it now. I wanted to post this as soon as possible to give everyone of you the chance to play along.

My idea for the card came from Creations By PINKE. She had a post up this morning with a video of how to make this style of card.

What I Used:
Sassy Studio Design : Free Digi
Spellbinders Nestabilites: Big Scalloped Oval SM
Prismacolor Water Color Pencils
Prismacolor Colourless Blender
Martha Stewart Border Punch: Traditional Scallop
K Andrew Designs Art Stamps: Winged Things/ Positive Thoughts
Memento Ink
Gems
3 Girl JAM: Crinkle Ribbon Holly Berry

I am really happy with the way the image turned out. I decided to paper piece the dress which was fun!! Not too sure who I am going to give this card to but I will be making more of these styles of cards in the future.
I will be back tomorrow with another card for another challenge and as soon as I get the next free image from Sassy Studio Designs I will have another card to share.

Have A Great Day!!

And we didn't loose power!!! Lets see if the weather network can get it right today!!!

What's Growing On??

Good morning!! Ok so this is my last challenge I am entering this week (I think)LOL. It is the My Creative Time : Throwback Thursday Color Challenge Episode 370. This is the picture we were given:

And Here is what I Made:

What I Used:

My Creative Time : What's Growing On? (Sentiment)
Anyday Bingo & Crossword (Apples and Butterfly)
Sweethearts Cartridge: Tree 2.5"
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black, Rhubarb Stalk
Colorbox Fluid Chalk: Blue Lago
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder: D'vine Swirl
Darice Embossing Folder: Wood Grain
Ek Success Corner Rounder
Martha Stewart Fringe Scissors
Gems: dollar store

Now I used red which wasn't in the picture but I know one of the DT members used red as well so I figure I am ok (plus apples are red, well I guess I could have used green but it wouldn't have shown up). This is  card for now, not too sure if I am going to put this on a layout for my daughter's scrapbook page (we went apple picking so I think it would look cute on a layout). I just need to find paper that would look good for it!!

Anyways you still have time to enter this challenge. Just click on the lick above!!

Have A Great Day!!

You've Been Framed

Good Morning!! When I saw the new challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps: Challenge Blog, I knew what I wanted to use.

This is a cork coaster that my parents picked up for me at Value Village. It came in a big bag full of different shaped ones. This was my first time using one of them!! Do you want to see what I turned it into????

..............................................................

..............................................................

This is what I did with it!! I am going to put a magnet on it and put it on my fridge!! Ok normally I would put a list of things I used but this time I thought I would tell you how I made it. I took self adhesive foil and traced the cork onto the back of it. I then cut the foil out and ran it through my cuttlebug (Fleur De Lis). I removed the back and adhered it to the cork. I then took Bakers Twine and hot glued it to make the "FRAME". I made a triple loop bow and glued it to the top. I then took my Spellbinders Shapeabilities: Flower Creations Three and made the heads of the flowers. I used the following Peachy Keen Stamps for the faces: Just Baby Face Assortment for the two smaller flowers and the Basic Paper Doll Faces PK-573 for the bigger flower. I used gel pens to color in the faces. I used some ribbon like stuff (sorry have no idea what it's called) for the stems. Lastly I took the sentiment "Count Your Blessings" from the Peachy Keen Stamp Set: Spring Words and stamped it onto white cardstock and used the Ek Success Corner Rounder. So there you have it my "3D Frame it" project.

I am obviously entering it into the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog : Challenge 21 3D Objects You've Been Framed!!

Have A Great Day!!

God Bless!

Father's Day Card #1

Good Morning!! Well I wanted to get this posted last night but the lady we babysit for had her water break yesterday afternoon so I spent every 30 minutes on facebook waiting for an announcement of when the baby was born, finally at 9:30p.m she posted that she had her baby girl weighing in at 9lbs. 1 oz which is 2 1/2 lbs bigger then her son was. My daughter was very excited last night when I told her that "baby Keagen isn't in Aimee's belly anymore" she said "good it was boring in Aimee's belly" I said "what do you mean" she said "it was boring, now I get to hold her". My daughter loves baby's, everyday that Aimeee would come to the door to drop her son off for daycare my daughter would say to her "the baby is still in there". Hopefully we will get to see her really soon!!

Anyways I have a Father's Day card that I made for my dad that I am entering into 2 different challenges.

What I Used:

My Creative Time : Here's Lookin' At You
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black, Rich Cocoa
We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper: Angle

I won this set of  My Creative Time stamp set and die when she had her release as well as the set "What's Growing on?" I have had so much fun using them and am so grateful to have them because I didn't own any male stamp sets before this. So thank you Emma!!

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Little Scrap Pieces : Fun Friday Father's Day Challenge

I will be posting the second card that my daughter help me make for my dad (from her) tomorrow as it is for another challenge!!

Hi

Good Afternoon!! Well garage saling was a huge success, we filled the van up to the point we couldn't even move!! Here is what we got:

Mini trampoline $10
Kids Plastic Wheel barrow $1
Leap Frog Scribble & Write $1
Rocking Horse $1

Princess Bike with Training Wheels $5
Booster Seat for eating $5

I am sure there was more but I can't think of it right now. I am pretty sure it is the last time getting up early for garage sales for a while. My daughter was so tired!! She loved her gymnastics and being with the older kids. I just sat back and watched her. At one point I was sitting far from her and she was on the bars and usually she will just put her feet up to bar but this time she swung her feet up over her head and through the pole. I guess they call it "Skin The Cat" alittle wierd if you ask me!! I was so proud and so was she!! Needless to say she will be continueing gymnastics in September!! Anyways I have a quick card to show you:

What I Used:
My Creative Time : Teeny Tags Greetings
3 Girl JAM : Crinkle Ribbon (I flat ironed it)

Flowers are from Patricia: Creative Diva I won them a couple months ago

This is just a simple and clean card that I thought would be good in my stach of cards!!

Hope you all have a great day!!

Quacky Birthday!!

Good Morning!! So I still have this stuffy nose but everything else is fine, thank goodness!!  I am so glad that the rain has finally stopped here so that we can go garage saling this morning!! One of the streets in our city has a huge annual sale and it is this morning! Then off to my daughters gymnastics then lunch and then she is going back to gymnastics to try out the older class (the coach said she is ready for the older class in September, so we are trying it out first before I sign her up). Right now she is in a parent and tot class but she is finding it way too easy and when I was asking about classes in September the coach said she should skip all the way down to the old class (she will be with 5 and 6 year olds, she is only 4). She isn't wanting to be with the older kids though because she knows I won't be with her. we will see how it goes today!! Anyways before I head out for that I thought I would post a card that I am entering into 2 challenges!!
